- Students are automatically
allocated an IT Services e-mail address as part of the IT Services
Student Account activation process.
The format of a student e-mail address is:

The e-mail address will remain active for the
entire duration of
studies at University.
Students following subsequent courses
at University will be allocated the same address used during their
first course. The notification of expiry of the address will be sent by
e-mail.
- Staff with a University Council
appointment can apply for an e-mail address by
completing
the form Staff:
IT Services User Id & E-mail Account (ITS-F03) and
forwarding
this
to IT
Services
Reception desk.
The format of the staff e-mail address in this case
is:

The e-mail address will remain active for the
entire duration of employment at University and will be used for the
University online staff directory. The notification of expiry
of the address will be sent by e-mail.
- Visiting staff* can apply for an e-mail address by completing the form IT Services Visiting
Staff Account
(ITS-F20) and forwarding this to IT Services
Reception
desk. This form requires
authorisation by the host department of the applicant.

The e-mail address will expire after a period of
one year from date of account creation. The account may be renewed for
further years subject to confirmation by the Head of Department that
the applicant maintains visiting staff status at University. The
notification of expiry of the address will be
sent by e-mail.
*The term "Visiting Staff" here refers to
any University staff
not
holding a University Council appointment.
