- The IT Services Remote Access
provides home access to University electronic mail and Internet to support
University research and teaching activities.
- Eligibility and Applying for the
Remote Access Service
- The IT Services Remote Access is
available to academic members of staff with a full-time appointment or part-time
appointment at TR2 or T6 level and above.
- Dial-up users are allocated a monthly
time quota of access. To apply for dial-up access please complete the
Staff: IT Services Dial-up Account
application form and also, unless you are already registered with the CSC, the
Staff: IT Services User Id. & E-mail Account
application form. The application form/s should be signed and sent to
CSC Reception.
- Administrative and technical
support staff may also be eligible for dial-up access and are requested to enquire and apply
with the Further Training and Work Resources Fund Non-Academic Committee.
- System Requirements
- To make use of this service you
will need a computer equipped with a modem and running Windows 95 or later.
