Starting 1st May 2002,
GO numbers will only work if the prefix 21 is included in front of
the number. This change will also affect connections to the IT Services Dial-up
(including WebSave) service. Concurrent with this change, IT Services is also
phasing out the 347070 and 863470 dial-up numbers.

This change will not
affect ADSL connections or direct campus network connections from
university offices.

IT Services Dial-up users are
requested to update settings on their computer to use the following
dial-up numbers:
- 21883310
for normal dial-up connections to IT Services or
- 21863310
for WebSave dial-up connections to IT Services. WebSave subscribers are requested
to use this number and not 21883310 otherwise they will incur the
standard GO pulse rate charges.

Instructions to update
the dial-up number are available below:
- Windows 95/98/Me
- Click Start button.
- Highlight Settings.
- Click Dial-up Networking.
- Right-click the IT Services dial-up networking connection icon and select Properties from the drop-down list.
- In
the General tab card, change the dial-up number 883310 or 347070 in the
Telephone number: field to 21883310. WebSave subscribers should change
the number 863310 or 863470 to 21863310.
- Click OK button.
- Close the Dial-up Networking window.
- Windows NT
- Double-click My Computer icon.
- Double-click Dial-Up Networking icon.
- Select the IT Services dial-up networking connection icon and click More button. This will display a drop-down menu.
- Select Edit entry and modem properties. The Edit Phone Book Entry dialog box will be displayed.
- Change
the dial-up number 883310 or 347070 in the Telephone number: field to
21883310. WebSave subscribers should change the number 863310 or 863470
to 21863310.
- Click OK button.
- Close the Dial-up Networking window.

- Click Start button.
- Highlight Settings.
- Click Network and Dialup Connections.
- Right-click the IT services dial-up networking connection icon and select Properties form the drop-down list.
- In
the General tab card, change the dial-up number 883310 or 347070 in the
Telephone number: field to 21883310. WebSave subscribers should change
the number 863310 or 863470 to 21863310.
- Click OK button.
- Close the Dial-up Networking window.

- Click Start button.
- Highlight Connect To.
- Click Show all connections. The Network Connections window will be displayed.
- Right-click the IT Services dial-up networking connection icon and select Properties form the drop-down list.
- In
the General tab card, change the dial-up number 883310 or 347070 in the
Telephone number: field to 21883310. WebSave subscribers should change
the number 863310 or 863470 to 21863310.
- Click OK button.
- Close the Network Connections window.
