F-Secure System
Requirements
Two
versions of F-Secure area available from IT Services: F-Secure 5.44 and
F-Secure 7.1.
- F-Secure 5.44 should be installed on computers with
the following specifications:

- Windows 95/98/Me with a minimum of 32MB RAM
- Win NT 4.0/2000 with a minimum of 64MB RAM
- Windows XP with a minimum of 128MB RAM
- 80MB free hard disk space
- F-Secure 7.1 should be installed on computers with
the following specifications:

- Windows NT 4.0/2000 with a minimum of 512MB RAM
- Windows XP with a minimum of 512MB RAM
- Windows Vista a minimum of 1GB RAM
- 300MB free hard disk space

Downloading F-Secure
- You can download F-Secure 5.44 & 7.1 from
IT Services server using your IT Services user Id. and e-mail password.

You must use your e-mail IT
Services User Name and password
when prompted.
- Once you are logged in, you will find two folders:
‘FSecure 5.44’ and ‘FSecure 7 (Vista
compatible)’. The version to install depends on your computer
specifications read above). Each folder has two files: a setup file
(.exe) and text file with a key code required to install the software.
Download the setup to your computer.

Services Downloads page.
- Installing
F-Secure
- To install F-Secure, run the file 'fsav544wks.exe'
or 'fsav7wks.exe' that you downloaded. This will start a wizard that
helps you install F-Secure. The wizard assists you to install F-Secure.
During installation you will be prompted to enter the CD code - this
code is available in the text file at the IT Services FTP site.

- Updating
F-Secure
- The virus definition updates are automatically
downloaded from F-Secure site for both F-Secure 5.44 & 7.1.
Such updates are made when the computer is connected to Internet. By
default, the antivirus program also downloads computer virus news and
F-Secure News.
