SPSS and the most common Microsoft products. We will be making more year 2000
patches and fixes localy available for download soon.

- F-Secure Anti-Virus is now
freely available for members of staff at the University of Malta. More

- Added online instructions on how
to embed the Maltese
fonts in your Word document. You should follow this procedure if you
have been using the Maltese fonts in Word documents in the CSC labs and
want to use these documents on other computers which do not have the Maltese
fonts installed.

- The CSC
FTP site has been restructured. The Software
Downloads(FTP site index) section has been updated to reflect this.

CSC has introduced a new service
that will allow you to book a workstation in the CSC Labs for a limited
amount of time. For now five workstations will be available for CSC users
(who have CSC Labs accounts) to book. Three normal PCs, a workstation with
SPSS software and the PC with the scanner. To book a workstation apply
at the reception desk.

e-mail quota increased from 2MB to 5MB. From now on all members of staff
who apply for a CSC e-mail account will have a 5MB mail quota. All other

been upgraded. Our connection point is now in the US and incoming bandwidth
of the link has been doubled.
